What should I put on my cv to account for the last year?

I gave up my job last year to help my husband set up a photography business (i've been doing the admin and working as his assistant) now I'm ready to go back to work.

Not sure how to put this on, will be very grateful for any help you can give me, thanks.
What should I put on my cv to account for the last year?
I think it's not as big problem.........

Just Mention the following under the "Last Job" heading. Means where were you working lately. You can mention the following...

"Jul-06 to Mar-07(period) worked as administrative head and assistant to my husband in his newly setup photography Business, and making it a success that it is now running succesfully at Grant Road etc."

I think such positive lines would shurely doo.

Good Luck!
Reply:admin assistant
Reply:Give your self a title for the work that you did, sounds to me like you were the office manager, if they ask how many people you managed you can always lie and make a number up. List all the things that you did as well so that they know that you are well rounded and willing to do a vast array of things.
Reply:You can put down what you did as his admin.

Even a mother returning to work would put down that for the past 10 years she has managed a home, budgeted family finances, been a main carer etc etc

Employers like to see this on a CV as opposed to a gap
Reply:I'd say you were a partner in a start-up business, responsible for accounts, tax, companies house info, etc.

Tell it like it is - I'm sure that setting up the business was not an easy task, and so highlight the difficulties and issues that you had t resolve.

Good luck.
Reply:Left to concentrate on the family photography business, which involved administrative, managerial skills such as ...............Happy to say that the business is doing very well and now you are seeking paid employment.
