May be somebody is trying to access my account. Is there any way I can prevent that? Is there anyway I can control my access to the email with some additional security features?
My yahoo account is getting suspended for 48 hours frequently during the last few weeks.What can I do?
USUSUAL ACTIVITY

Yahoo's explanation;

I just got an error message telling me that Yahoo! Mail detected unusual activity in my account and I can鈥檛 send, save or receive Mail for up to 48 hours. How do I correct the issue?

Here are a few areas to consider:

1. Have you noticed anything unusual that might suggest to you that someone else is using your account? If so, change your password on the Account Info page. You鈥檒l be asked to sign in before proceeding.

* In the first section of the page, click Change Password and follow the instructions.

2. Did you send or receive many attachments in a short period of time? If so, try deleting some of the emails you sent or received in a short period of time in your Inbox or Sent folder.

3. Clear your browser鈥檚 cache and cookies.

During the suspension, you have access to all email in your Inbox, personal folders and Sent folder, and to your Mail Options. You will not be able to send or receive mail or save any drafts. Email sent to your account will bounce back to the sender.

The following was received from Yahoo Mail Support via e-mail 12.13.07: The Yahoo! Mail system keeps track of the pattern of messages into and out of accounts. It does not track the content of the messages, or who they are to or from, just the traffic pattern. When this traffic pattern

changes the system can put the account into a suspended status, which is then released after 24-48 hours.

Occasionally the system will misidentify an account as having an unusual traffic pattern, or 'Unusual Activity'. When the user notifies us of this issue, we manually review the traffic pattern then reset the system so that it does not see the traffic on the account as unusual. If there

is anything else that we can help you with, please let us know.

Limit outbound traffic: Yahoo's (Nasdaq: YHOO) Latest News about Yahoo e-mail service sets a limit on the number of e-mails that can be sent out every 15 minutes. Other e-mail providers limit the number of addresses to which an e-mail can be sent. Complete article here: http://www.technewsworld.com/story/45631...

Make it a great day!
