Is there a bank that has a interest earning account for 17 year olds?

I turn 18 in the summer and me and my finace are starting to get second jobs so we can move out of our houses into a apartment. I want to know if there is a bank that has an interest earning account for under 18 year olds, and if they will allow 2 people without being married to open an account together.

you should be able to open a savings account at any bank. They encourage minors to save? Any two people can be on an account together, the bank doesn't care about the relationship.
Reply:ANY bank will open a savings account for anyone with a valid SAN. The ONLY requirement for a joint account is that BOTH parties agree. Report Abuse

Reply:NEVER combine your finances with your finance. The day you return from you honeymoon, I recommend combining ALL accounts. Until the wedding, don't combine ANY. Report Abuse

Reply:he didnt say anything about barrowing money! any bank or credit union (that accepts you) will allow you open a savings account. other than that, you would have to ask them.
Reply:yes mostly any bank will have an interest bearing account that you can open at 17....no need for a cosigner.
Reply:all banks except you but you would need a co signer that is above 18 that has good credit.
Reply:I agree with the second poster, you would need to have someone over 18 to co-sign.

I would also add that you would want to check out credit unions instead of banks as the fees are much less
Reply:maybe bank of America.
