How do I download a DVD to my itunes account?

I have a dvd and I just got an ipod that can play movies. How do I upload the DVD to my itunes account so I can add it to my new ipod? Please help me!!!

If it is not protected DVD, you can use a video converter software, please try RZ Video Converter, in your source DVD(VIDEO_TS folder), drag all .vob files into RZ Video Converter as source, select a target profile(such as iPod mp4 video), then click Start button, you can get the iPod mp4 videos. Reply:iPod can only support mpeg4 video,so you must make sure the video is mp4 format ,you need to have a 3rd party tool to help you to convert dvds and video into mp4 or h264 format, add them into itunes library, then sync to ipod.
