Does it hurt to close a long term bank account?

I have been with CitiBank now for 8 years and with Chase for three years. I am getting fed up with CitiBank's service and would like to close my account, however, since I have had it open for a long time, are there any advantages to keeping an account open long term?

No it shouldn't hurt sense you already established a bank account with chase for 3 years
