How to use your credit card wisely?
Any tips from experienced people out there?
What should I know before I open a visa account?
The #1 thing to understand with a credit card is to NEVER buy stuff with it that you can't pay off in the SAME month.
$1,000 of debt on an 18.9% credit card costs you $189 a year.
Think about that, you're paying $189 a year just to be told by the credit card company "Hey, guess what. You still owe us $1,000!"
Seriously, if you can understand and apply the above three paragraphs, you'll be ahead of 90% of people out there with credit cards right now.
Reply:How much the annual fee is?
When does it hit your accoutn?
Do you have a grace period?
Those are all quite relevant after you've had your account a while.
Especially when the annual fee is charged.
Reply:1. Always keep track of your credit card spending.
2. Make sure you will be able to pay the full amount, not the minimum amount
3. Don't overspend
Reply:If you don't have extra money after your payday, it's a good sign that you'll only end up in credit card woes.
