A friend of mine told me that she got a $250 interest payment made into her savings account last week. She said that she didn't know how she got it. I was wondering if its just from having a account with the Credit Union or what?

Most banks pay you interest on your savings account. the percentage depends on the bank. Your friend could have gotten more because its a Credit Union but all saving accounts have some type of interest payoff. usually once a month but sometimes yearly.
